The Mind, Body & Soul approach to learning focuses primarily on the realization that the student’s physical well-being greatly affects his academic learning, both in the moment and in the long term. This method addresses such questions as-how can sports help people not only to be physically fit but also to become socially empowered and successful? How do meditation exercises improve learning in the classroom? For instance, in Ethiopia, where few girls are able to reach secondary school, the ‘Girls Gotta Run’ offers a ray of hope.

This initiative lures talented girls, via scholarships, to use running and education to better themselves and their communities.
